I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Le Sporting, especially the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the family-owned staff. The location was fantastic for skiing, just a short walk from the Pleney lift, and the wellness facilities, including the sauna, were perfect for relaxing after a day on the slopes. However, I did notice that the Wi-Fi access could be a bit patchy at times, which was a minor inconvenience.

Rooms

The rooms were clean, warm, and spacious, designed with a modern chalet style. I loved the unique decor in each room and appreciated having a hairdryer available. My only issue was that the roadside room could get a bit noisy during the weekends, but closing the shutters helped.
Service
7.0
The staff were very friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any requests, especially with my kids' needs. The owners even woke up early to provide breakfast for those leaving early, which was commendable. However, I did encounter a bit of abrupt communication during my interactions with some reception staff, which was disappointing.

The hotel's location was excellent for skiers, right at the footstep of the slopes with a bus stop outside to access Avoriaz. I liked how it was just a 10-minute walk to the village center, allowing for easy access to shops and restaurants. The proximity to the main lift area made skiing very convenient.
Dining
9.0
Dining at the hotel was quite a treat. I enjoyed the five-course meals with local specialties, especially the fondue on regional nights. The breakfast was abundant, with a variety of options like fresh pastries and pancakes. I felt, however, that the breakfast price was a bit high considering what I received on one occasion when items ran low.
Facilities

The hotel boasted great wellness facilities, like the sauna and indoor/outdoor heated pool, which were fantastic after long days of skiing. The ski storage area was well-maintained, and I appreciated the option to rent skis at a discounted rate through the hotel. I did have a couple of minor issues with the pool temperature and cleanliness during my visit.

My stay at Hotel Le Sporting was wonderful overall. The location is incredibly convenient, being so close to the slopes and the town center, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. However, the room I stayed in had a slightly outdated decor, and I would have appreciated a coffee maker in the room. Despite these minor issues, I left feeling relaxed and eager to return.
